Het stemmen voor de D66 lijst in Noord-Holland is begonnen. Nu zal het grootste deel van de ongeveer 5000 leden het waarschijnlijk worst zijn; zij laten de keuze aan diegene die wel de moeite nemen. En dan heb je als D66-er twee keuze’s: het stemadvies volgens of zelf je volgorde bepalen.
Stemadvies en Stemadviescommissie (SAC) die geven altijd gedonder in de partij. Over geen onderwerp zoveel discussie dan over het stemadvies. Want hoe democratisch is het; en wie stoppen we in die cie. De laatste jaren is er een nieuwe model: de gekozen voorzitter en de gekozen lijsttrekker nemen vormen samen de SAC. Maar in Noord-Holland nu en als het aan de cie Bruines ligt ook in Amsterdam in de toekomst hanteren we het oude model: de club van wijze mannen en vrouwen; prominenten en oudgedienden die hun oordeel mogen geven. Met als gevolg weinig vernieuwing en veel van hetzelfde. Ik schreeft dat ook in mijn vorige blog.
Gisteren heb ik onderstaande tekst rondgestuurd. De boodschap is wees een democraat dus ga stemmen, maar wees vooral eigenzinnig. Maar je eigen keus en maak het Anders!

Beste Democraat,
De verkiezing voor de D66lijst voor de Provinciale Staten van Noord Holland wordt morgen, maandag 25 oktober geopend. En ik sta tussen de kandidaten waar je uit kan kiezen. Niet omdat ik weg wil uit het bruisende Amsterdam Oost, maar wel om het D66 geluid in Noord Holland een beetje op te frissen. Wat ik over de provincie te melden heb, vind je op mijn weblog.
Ik wil je daarom ook oproepen om niet het stemadvies te volgen maar zelf je kandidaten te kiezen. Minimaal 15 namen moet je aan klikken om je stem geldig te maken,een mooi staaltje ontmoediging, maar daar laat een echte democraat zich natuurlijk niet door weerhouden.
Ikzelf ga Paul Eijssen uit Amsterdam Zuid en Ilse Zaal uit Zaanstad hoog op mijn lijstje zetten; ik denk dat zij voor het nodige verfrissing zullen zorgen. Daarnaast vergeet ik ook de ervaren krachten uit Amsterdam Oost niet zoals Petra Hoogerwerf en Theo Veldman; en natuurlijk mezelf, niet te hoog maar wel zichtbaar en hoorbaar.
Ik hoop dat jij ook je eigen 15 namen gaat selecteren, en zo democratisch meehelpt aan een Anders geluid van D66 in onze provincie. Ten slot, vergeet ook niet voor de lijsttrekker voor de Eerste Kamer te stemmen; mijn stem ging naar Joris Backer omdat wij een partij zijn van de inhoud en Joris die inhoud de laatste jaren heeft gevormd.

Mijn toelichting uit het kandidatenboek:
De provincie dat is dat gebied buiten Amsterdam.
De provincie dat is dat gebied waar de niet-Amsterdammers wonen.
De provincie dat is dat gebied waar Haarlem de hoofdstad is.
Zo dacht ik tot voor kort over de provincie en zo denken vele Amsterdammers er nog steeds over. Pas sinds ik actief ben in de deelraad van het bruisende stadsdeel Oost ervaar ik hoeveel invloed de provincie heeft in ons stadsdeel. Denk aan bijvoorbeeld de uitbreiding van IJburg, de verbreding van de A10 of het plaatsen van zonnepanelen op daken. De provincie heeft dus veel meer invloed op het leven van Amsterdammers dan gedacht wordt. Ook op die van mij. Ik besef nu dat de provincie mijn leven is binnen gedrongen. Het is nu tijd dat ik de provincie ga binnen dringen.
Met mijn kandidatuur wil ik vooral een verbinding maken tussen provincie en lokaal bestuur; tussen provincialen en Amsterdammers.
