Op 4 juni was het een mooie dag voor D66. Na alweer enige tijd op zetelwinst in de peilingen te hebben gestaan, waren de Europese verkiezingen het eerste moment dat D66 deze peilingen kon verzilveren. En dat gebeurde ook. We haalden 3 zetels in Europa, wat een geweldig resultaat is!
Als Statenlid voor D66 Zuid-Holland is de verleiding niet te weerstaan: wat deze uitslag zou beteken voor het aantal Statenzetels in Zuid-Holland. Uit de uitslagen van de Kiesraad, zoals die inmiddels zijn vastgesteld, zou D66 in Zuid-Holland tussen de 11 a 12% scoren. Omgerekend in Statenzetels zijn dat er 5 a 6. Maar voordat het maart 2011 is, wanneer de Statenverkiezingen zijn, dat duurt nog wel even. Er is geen reden om ons nu al rijk te rekenen, want ook in de komende 2 jaar (of iets minder alweer) is er nog meer dan genoeg te doen om het D66-geluid te laten horen.
